HEO Institutional Excellence

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions and answers

Start with the questions institutions commonly ask about scope, timing, confidentiality and working arrangements.

  • Can HEO support only one part of a larger programme?

Yes. A scope may focus on diagnosis, documentation, data governance, training, review or implementation support, provided responsibilities and dependencies are clear.

  • Can HEO work with our internal team?

Yes. Engagements are designed to work with leadership, IQAC, departments and administrative teams so knowledge and responsibility remain within the institution.

  • Can support be delivered online and on campus?

The delivery mode depends on the scope. Diagnostic reviews, working sessions and training may combine online and on-campus activity where appropriate.

  • Does HEO guarantee accreditation or ranking outcomes?

No. Decisions are made by independent accreditation, ranking, certification or regulatory bodies. HEO supports readiness, systems, evidence, capability and improvement planning but does not guarantee an external result.

  • How are project outputs agreed?

The proposal should define outputs, review stages, institutional inputs, decision owners and completion criteria. Changes in scope are discussed before additional work begins.

  • How does an HEO engagement begin?

It begins with a discovery conversation to understand the institution, objective, current status, stakeholders and target timeline. HEO then proposes a defined scope, outputs, responsibilities and working approach.

  • How long does a project take?

Timing depends on institutional readiness, service scope, document availability, decision cycles and external deadlines. HEO confirms a realistic schedule after discovery.

  • How will we know whether implementation is progressing?

Suitable engagements include milestones, ownership, review checkpoints and an action tracker so leadership can see completed work, open risks and next decisions.

  • Is institutional information kept confidential?

Confidentiality, access, permitted use and retention should be defined in the engagement agreement. Website enquiries are emailed to the configured HEO mailbox and are not stored by the HEO Core plugin.

  • What information is useful for the first consultation?

Share the institutional objective, applicable framework, present status, target timeline, responsible teams and any immediate concern. Sensitive documents are not required in the first website enquiry.
